Brow Lift

A brow lift is a surgical procedure that can correct drooping or overly lax skin above the eyes that may cause you to be appeared tired. Surgery can tighten the loose skin and reduce the appearance of aging tired skin. Good candidates for the procedure are re healthy, non-smoking individuals without previous serious eye conditions, who have realistic goals in mind for surgery. Brow lifts are commonly performed in conjuction with eyelid surgery or facelifts

How Brow Lift Surgery Works

Before surgery, you will receive either intravenous sedation or general anesthesia. Once you are sufficiently numbed, Dr. Potyondy will begin the surgery, making small incisions along the hairline to tighten and adjust the muscle and skin tissue of the brows. He works to correct the undesired visible creases and furrows in the forehead. Finally, these incisions get closed up with removable sutures, skin adhesives or surgical tape.

What to Expect Following Brow Lift Surgery

For many patients, brow lift surgery can result in an improved physical appearance immediately following completion of the procedure. Post-surgical swelling and incision lines will fade over time. Dr. Potyondy recommends protecting your skin from excess sun exposure and a healthy lifestyle following surgery to maximize the results.
